Andrea graduated LL B (Hons) from the University of Adelaide and was admitted to practice in 1981. She worked as a solicitor in a commercial firm and at the Crown Solicitor’s Office, before practising for thirteen years as a barrister from Jeffcott Chambers in South Australia.
Areas of practice included a wide variety of litigation, including intellectual property, trade practices and professional negligence litigation.
She is a former judge of the District Court of South Australia 1998 - 2009.
Andrea has completed negotiation and mediation workshops conducted by the Harvard Law School Program of Instruction for Lawyers (now the Harvard Negotiation Institute), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Andrea has participated on boards and committees involved in education, research and ethics, music and theatre.
