Simpsons’ film and television team is proud to have supported several films showcased at this year’s 72nd Sydney Film Festival.
The Sydney Film Festival, which ran from 4 to 15 June 2025, is world-renowned for showcasing the talent of filmmakers from Australia and from around the world.
Simpsons is proud to have provided legal services to Minderoo Pictures on the documentaries Lowland Kids, a film about two teenagers at risk of losing their homes to climate change, and Songs Inside which follows women in prison healing through music. Songs Inside was awarded the Documentary Australia Award, which recognises excellence in Australian documentary production.
Simpsons is also proud to have assisted Hytra Films with production legals for The Golden Spurtle, a feel-good documentary following the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship in Scotland. The Golden Spurtle was the runner up GIO Audience award for Best Australian Documentary.
